The vision for Vesta has been almost a decade in the making. Mike and Devon met in 2016, while building the industry's leading point of sale.

Over the next 4 years, they worked closely together and felt firsthand the pain caused by the antiquated systems supporting the mortgage industry. By 2020, they knew it was time for them to embark on an adventure of their own.

Now, with Vesta, they are transforming these systems by creating the most flexible, open and automated mortgage origination experience.

Mike Yu

As CEO at Vesta, Mike leads sales, product development, and implementations as the team redefines origination platforms for modern lenders. Previously, Mike spent 4 years on the early product team at Blend, where he launched key components of the flagship mortgage platform, and later started and ran new business lines such as Blend Insurance. Mike graduated from Stanford University with an MS in Computer Science/AI and a BA in Economics.

Devon Yang

In his capacity as CTO, Devon leads all engineering and technical efforts, which make up the majority of Vesta’s team. He started his career helping to launch the first version of Microsoft Azure, before joining Blend as the first engineering hire. At Blend, Devon built a huge amount of the early product, before growing into an organization leader responsible for platform architecture and development. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with MS and BS degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a BS degree in Computer Science.
